After working more than a few years as a civil engineer, a timely layoff provided the opportunity to take a lifelong hobby to the next level. Paeonia Designs was born with a friend’s wedding request and has blossomed into a full service event floral design studio. Weddings and receptions are our specialty, but we also offer arrangements for bridal and baby showers, engagement/anniversary parties, bar and bat mitzvahs, corporate events, holidays, and any other special event where flowers would add to the atmosphere.

Serving Massachusetts from beautiful Boston venues to charming farm and winery sites around Worcester county, I’m happy to travel to most places in MA. I personally meet and work with each client to discuss and plan their custom event. From concept to delivery I’ll answer your questions, provide solutions and alleviate any pre-event concerns. A few talented friends in the business help out with larger events, but ultimately I design and execute each of the arrangements that go out the door on delivery day.

I work out of a studio at home overlooking my flower gardens. There is a large floral cooler in my workshop that is run on the sun thanks to solar panels on the roof! Between my and my mother’s gardens, we grow several varieties of perennials such as tulips, peonies, hydrangea, sedum, and scabiosa as well as various annuals that we use in arrangements. By no means a farmer florist but hopefully headed there one day, my organic garden is primarily watered with rain barrels (when we have rain) and fertilized with homemade compost. Throughout the year, I source as many flowers locally as possible from several farms and greenhouses located close to home. The sunflowers in the late summer and fall arrangements seen in the gallery were grown just a quarter mile down the road. I have some of my mother’s pink peony plants growing in my yard which are about 40 years old and are the inspiration for the Paeonia logo!

I truly love what I do. Flowers are more than my occupation, they’re my passion and craft that I take total delight in. I want to see each bride, groom, mama-to-be, celebrant, and guest of honor thrilled with their flowers, regardless of the size of the event. Each client deserves quality service and the most gorgeous, fresh and thoughtful flowers arranged with exceptional detail.
